Solving Exchange 2010 Server error “Mailbox exceeded the maximum number of corrupted items ..” ?

Microsoft Exchange server is an important application for millions of businesses around the worldwide. After this error message, you will not be able to move the user mailboxes.



Cause:

The user mailbox has too many corrupted items for which the move request is configured to skip.


Solution:

If in case, your mailbox reaches corrupt items limit which is set to 50, then you have following solutions:

a) Increase the limit of bad items to 100 or 200
b) Export the user mailbox into outlook .pst file and try to fix it.
c) Use MFCMAPI tool to recognize the status of the corruption and delete them permanently.
